My name is Rod, and I’ve been a Canucks fan for as long as I can remember – I went to my first game in 1975 (a 5-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues). I attended almost every home playoff game during the 1982 Stanley Cup run. There were a lot of up and down years prior to the second run to the Finals in 1994, and it’s been pretty much the same thing ever since.

I’m not the type of person who’s going to claim that I know better than Alain Vigneault, and that even I could coach the Canucks better than he could. That’s what he gets paid for. I have little need for those who rant in the forums or on sports talk shows. Everybody just seems to spout the same thing over and over again, and it gets tedious after awhile.

But that doesn’t mean that I won’t go off if someone does something stupid. I will.
